Full-Day Carthage Tours

A full day here runs six to nine hours and usually covers four things: Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, the Medina of Tunis and the Bardo Museum. Lunch sits in the middle. It is the most complete introduction to the Tunis area available in a single booking, and it is also the itinerary where Carthage gets the least time.

Where eight hours actually go

On a typical four-stop day the split looks like this: an hour at Carthage, ninety minutes at the Bardo, ninety minutes to two hours in Sidi Bou Said, ninety minutes in the medina including lunch, and the rest in transit. From Tunis the transit is minor; from Hammamet it is two hours; from Sousse, four.

What “all-inclusive” is worth

Two constraints to plan around

Mondays. The Bardo closes every Monday, so on a Monday the featured tour becomes medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said without the museum. A four-stop Monday booking elsewhere quietly becomes a three-stop one.

The private full day

A private vehicle changes the shape of a long day more than it changes the content.
